Giovanni
The isolated senior

Isolated Seniors, like Giovanni, are oncology patients struggling with skin cancer, such as CSCC and melanoma.

They tend to live alone or with their partner.

They care enormously about their appearances, are highly reactive, and don’t want to be a burden on others.

Because of the effects the disease has on their bodies, fatigue and co-morbidities, they rarely leave their houses.

They enjoy spending time with others and performing activities, but will not engage in public spaces.

When they need assistance, they don’t like asking for help or seeking alternatives.
"I’d like to be a grandparent, not a burden to my family."
Having his caregivers use Fuel helps Giovanni indirectly: they are prepared to help him
Main motivator
For others close to them to take initiative and offer to help first.
Why?
Because they choose to protect their self-image over asking for assistance and are unable to effectively communicate their needs to others.
We help them
Provide their networks with opportunities to be proactive in offering the support and social interactions what they really need.
