​Used blower and refrigerator(2021.04.23)

Purpose

Send enough smoke and cool to -10℃

Experience smoked food in -10℃ 

What we learned

​For the better taste we need to keep temperature below zero

​Used blower and long pipe (2021.04.21)

Purpose

・Create the enough pipe lenghth to have time for the smoke to pass through the chilled area

Result,

successes

・smoke temperature : around 5℃

・chamber temperature : around 14℃

What we learned

・Using long pipe can really improve cooling efficiency

Used blower(2021.04.19)

Purpose

・Making prototype without compressor

・Instead of cooling with ice packs:Making refrigerant from salt+ ice.

(Making experiment in lower temperature than ice water Working)

・Speed down the smoke going : Using lower power blower

・Smoke chip can keep burning automatically

Result,

Outside air 13℃ we can keep 10℃ inside

Cold smoked food with enough aroma tastes good

What we learned

・We need to confirm the length of pipe

Used compressor (2021.04.15)

Purpose

・Keep smoke-chip burning by using air pump of air compressor

・Check how minimum temperature and how long the chamber temperature keep

・Confirm if smoke scent attach to the food

Result,

・Difficult to keep chip burning

・Smoke does not scent attach so much more than expected

What we learned

・The amount of saturated water vapor in the compressed air decreased, and it may sink with moisture in the tank  ã€€as it is.
