THE JOURNEY
We are four students from the University of St. Gallen who nine months ago were given the challenge of how the Protestant Church of the Canton of St. Gallen can accompany young adults in their first phase of life and enable them to achieve a meaningful conduct of life in their individual perception. Faced with this interesting and multifaceted challenge, we found out that young adults have the need to be mentally prepared for the challenges that life throws at them. This is how we came up with Resilyou - a digital solution to train the mental immune system.
We are very pleased that the Protestant Church of the Canton of St. Gallen is already planning to implement Resilyou.

THE CORPORATE PARTNER

-
What does Resilyou have to do with the Protestant Church? The Protestant Church sponsors and supports Resilyou with its know-how. However, it is very important to them that Resilyou does not pursue any religious goals, but rather provides a service to the general public.
-
Is Resilyou a religious project?Resilyou is deliberately designed to be used by people regardless of their religion. It is primarily based on psychological research.
-
What is the goal of Resilyou? With Resilyou you can increase your resilience together with a friend. More resilience helps you to overcome crises and challenges faster and better and finally to spend more time happily.
-
How does Resilyou work?Once you have registered with Resilyou, you can do exercises at five different levels: Positive self-esteem, positive emotions, social network, control conviction and acceptance. There are currently two exercises for each level, the first of which you can do on your own and the second with a friend. More lessons and levels will follow.
-
What does the future of Resilyou look like? Most likely, Resilyou will be followed up over the next three years and developed into a powerful tool to enhance the well-being of young adults. A decision on the definitive continuation of the project will be taken on 1 July 2020.
-
What scientific background does Resilyou have?Resilyou builds on various currents of positive psychology and is based on findings from "positivepsychology.com", "American Foreign Service Association on Resilence" and "Designing your Life", among others. In addition, interviews have been conducted with renowned professors of psychology and an advisory board of psychologists is currently being established.
